Some say it's crazy, but that's why we're here
Coming back to where music lives all year
Coming back to where music lives all year
Inspired by ordinary life at a music conservatory, this story follows five different students as they deal with the challenges of a single semester at Hathaway Choir College, ranging from the mundane to the tragic.
Quinn, a composer who feels he can't write the music he loves ("In My Mind," "500 Other Songs"). Wes, the academically struggling but socially flourishing senior ("Here's The Thing," "No Way Out"). Ellery, a soprano who learns her ambitions prevented her from fully accepting her boyfriend ("I Could Have Loved You, Too"). And new freshmen Nora and Nathan, trying to find their place while Hathaway is thrown into turmoil due to financial woes ("Break," "Make 'Em See"). An original full length musical by Mary Bliden and Sarah Palermo, Crazy People Like Us was premiered at Westminster Choir College in 2014. |

The day of reckoning has come — convocation. Wes has a plan to lull the concert-goers into a false sense of security before breaking out with some civil disobedience. Will it make a difference for the future of Hathaway?
For the song "No Way Out," performed here by Andrew Cox, Sarah was awarded a 2017 Michigan State University Excellence in Diversity Award in the Students Making a Difference through Artistic Expressions competition.
